We had an amazing time on our private fishing tour with Makis and Ilias! We were lucky enough to catch three fish (including a big bluefin tuna) thanks to Makis' knowledge of the water and the best fishing spots! Two of the fish were put on the BBQ for lunch and the tuna was made into a delicious ceviche! It was served alongside some other delicious food prepared by Makis' wife (especially the tomato fritters!) Ilias is also an amazing host - he's a very warm and welcoming person and keeps you entertained throughout the day! He tells you all about the islands history and the volcano as you sail around the island. He also makes sure you have lots of beer and wine to drink throughout the day! Water is also available but we avoided that :) My boyfriend and I both agree that this trip was the highlight of our holiday. Thanks again Makis and Ilias! We will definitely see you next time!

My family of 7 just visited Santorini, it was our last day on our cruise. Makis went above and beyond, we loved it so much. The authentic food, the hospitality, the gorgeous water. Being October it was a little chilly in the water but still just an ideal day. I can't recommend this tour enough. Still craving the blue water and tomato fritters. Thank you Makis!!

Captain Makis & his first mate Ilias ensured that we had an adventure of a life time!!! Captain Makis's local maritime knowledge and boating skills are the best. He knows the waters around Santorini like the back of his hand. Ilias explained a lot of the history and local knowledge that we would have otherwise totally missed. Elephant rocks was our favorite part of the tour. . We can't wait to return!!!

This trip is a must if you are in santorini . The guys are very respectful and knowledgeable . we were very lucky with the weather and we had an amazing trip. I would definitely recommend this to anyone coming to the area. they are flexible with the tour locations and will tailor it to your preference. the greek cooking was amazing and we cooked the fish we caught on the day. It was definitely better than the one we had in the restaurant. and watched the sunset. it was very relaxed with lots of entertainment and facts about the areas yet we were given our private time to relax. 11/10

Captain Makis & his first mate Ilias gave us an EXCELLENT time discovering Santorini’s caldera. With my boyfriend, we were looking for cool spots to snorkel around Oia and by going with them we had this and more. Add a tour with The Pirate to your bucket list and you can expect great hospitality, historical facts, as well as interesting stories about sunken ships & local people. And good food 😋 locally sourced, some made by Makis’s wife & fresh caught fish!

What a great experience! Captain Makis and first mate Eli did such a wonderful job showing our group a different side of Santorini. Only one of our party of five was interested in the fishing part of things so it was important to have a well-rounded trip and they absolutely provided that. Eli was very knowledgeable and shared some interesting facts about the topography and waters in & around the caldera. It was a great tour! The waters were super choppy on the day we went out but no one in our group experienced any sea sickness. We did some snorkeling around two sunken ships in a sheltered cove. And to top things off, we caught two fish, a grouper and a Bonito, and they prepared them for a delicious dinner on the water along with local wine. Of course we had amazing views of the setting sunset as we pulled back into port. Can’t recommend enough!

Absolutely wonderful experience, one of your favorite excursions we did during our trip. Makis and Elias went above and beyond during our private tour. Plus Makis’ wife’s cooking is out of this world. The tomato fritters, AMAZING. A must do for anyone looking to explore the island by boat, fish, learn about the sights, and eat authentic Greek food while being entertained the entire time. Definitely recommend!!
